Student Leadership
Through activities such as peer support training, leadership training, and opportunities for multi-age learning, we foster leadership and social responsibility amongst our students.
Our student leadership program nurtures essential life skills, including collaboration, empathy, and problem-solving, while encouraging students to be active participants in their school community. We are proud of our leaders and the contributions they make to St John’s.
Through ongoing support, mentorship, and providing leadership opportunities, our teachers guide students in developing essential skills like collaboration, empathy, and critical thinking. This collaborative approach ensures that leadership is nurtured at every level, creating a strong foundation for personal growth and success.

At St John’s Lutheran School, we believe that every student has the potential to be a leader. Our student leadership program empowers students to take an active role in shaping their school community, fostering personal growth, responsibility, and collaboration. By providing opportunities to lead, we help students develop confidence, communication skills, and a strong sense of service.
In 2024, our Year 5/6 class reimagined what leadership means, creating new roles that allow students to use their unique strengths to serve their peers and the wider school community. From School Captains and Sports Leaders to Worship Leaders and The Green Team, students are encouraged to take initiative and contribute in ways that align with their interests and passions.
