Karen Leese

Principal, Year 5/6 Teacher, German
Master of Education, Grad Dip. Theology, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Teaching Upper Primary.

One of the things I value most is our beautiful school setting. Surrounded by nature, it’s a place where children have the freedom to explore, learn, and play in an environment that sparks curiosity and wonder. What truly makes St John’s special, though, is our close-knit community. We’re more than just a school; we’re like a family, where everyone knows each other and supports one another. St John’s truly embodies the spirit of being a ‘small school with a big heart!’

Lynn Grosser

Care Coordinator.
20 years Pastoral Care experience,
Seasons for Growth - Loss & Grief program.

I feel very blessed to walk alongside students, families and staff in providing pastoral care, support and encouragement in the ups and downs of life. I love the little chats and opportunity to sprinkle kindness with each child as I visit classrooms, go for a wonder in the yard, play a game, join in an activity or sit on the buddy bench. It certainly fills my bucket with warmth and joy as I see the smiles and enjoy the chitter chatter of the students. I love the cheekiness, openness, friendliness, kindness and caring nature of each child at St Johns.

What I love at St John’s is that it is a country, Christan school, which helps give it a lovely family feel. I like how the staff collaborate in their planning to improve students’ skills, knowledge and conceptual understanding.
